Social Communication
Language Delays and Disorders

I can support children in their understanding of language and in their ability to express themselves. Some examples include, struggling to follow instructions, difficulty with age appropriate grammar concepts, or late talking.

I can support your child in clarifying speech sounds (e.g., "k" sound being made as a "t" sound), so that they can be better understood in the world around them.

Articulation and Speech Sound Disorders

I provide neurodiversity-affirming social communication support. Some examples include building conversation skills, supporting children in building friendships, and developing emotional literacy.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

AAC can be used to enhance a child's receptive and expressive language skills. AAC may be used as a primary modality for non-speaking children, or a supplement to verbal communication for others.

Motor Speech Support

Using the evidence based practice of Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and motor learning principles, I provide support for children experiencing motor speech disorders (including Childhood Apraxia of Speech).

Fluency (Stuttering)

I provide support to children who demonstrate stuttering (e.g., sound or word repetitions, getting "stuck" on particular words). The Lidcombe Program is available.

Autism Spectrum Disorders

I offer Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Comprehensive Language Assessment and early identification. Follow up supports include language and social communication services, and ASD Education for caregivers, families, and other professionals.

Genetic and Developmental Disorders

I offer communication services that fit your child's need if their genetic or developmental condition impacts their ability to communicate. Examples include Down Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, or any other differences.

Screening and Assessment

Speech, social communication, or language assessments are available and tailored to each client's unique needs. Individual assessments are designed to gather information towards understanding a child's communication profile. For children with more complex needs or children and families in the process of Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment, comprehensive assessments are available. With a neurodiversity-affirming, playful approach, I will ensure every child, whether speaking or nonspeaking, feels comfortable and valued throughout the process. The formal and informal assessment process will guide our collaborative goal-setting and informs a personalized plan to support each child’s growth in a way that resonates with them and their family.

Therapy Services

Individual and group therapy services focus on building meaningful communication and personal growth through evidence-based approaches. Every child’s therapy journey is unique and designed to build on their strengths while addressing their specific needs. I prioritize comfort, engagement, and fun, ensuring each child feels supported and motivated in their therapy activities. Therapy sessions may include interactive activities, real-life scenarios, and collaborative exercises to develop communication skills that are functional and empowering. I enjoy working closely with families and encouraging their involvement and input to create a holistic plan that aligns with their goals and values.

Consultation and Community Education

In addition to in-office and teletherapy services, I provide consultation services for families, educators, and other professionals to foster collaborative support for each child’s communication journey. This includes guidance on effective strategies, accommodations, and resources tailored to individual needs in both home and school settings.

Community education for schools, preschools, and other organizations is available upon request. Presentations and workshops are designed to help support and empower families, schools, and organizations with the tools and knowledge to support communication growth (e.g., Early Intervention, Neurodiversity Affirming Practice)
